A sales tax exemption certificate can be used by businesses (or in some cases, individuals) who are making purchases that are exempt from the Indiana sales tax. Registered retail merchants in Indiana as well as businesses located outside the state of Indiana may use this form when purchasing items that are exempt from sales tax according to Indiana tax code.
